Eryx conicus - Sand boa

Eryx conicus. Common name Sand boa. In Mount Abu this species is not common. Many times when people call us for snake rescue we usually, come across Rat snake, Spectacle cobra, Wolf, snake, Green Keelback, Russell viper, checkered keelback, but not Sand boa. Seen very seldom. Once again, thankful to colleague for timely call and shared all the information. Aravalli Range Ariel view. Yesterday evening, I got a call from my clients who are interested in doing a short hike and then leave on the way to Barmer North East of Rajasthan.  We were ready early morning hours to drive up to the highest peak of Rajasthan the Aravalli Range.
