Dutch family trek and snake.

Lycodon capucinus. Common Wolf snake. One week ago, went out for a short hike with a Dutch family. End of hike route I got a snake rescue call and my guest participated. Wild Mushrooms of Mount Abu. July 2022.

In July, I found a few different species of wild mushrooms during a short hike in Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary. One of the species is called Cystoagaricus Trisulphuratus. Don’t know if this was recorded before in Mount Abu. Colourful shape little umbrellas. Have a look at it. Here are the photographs.

Indian Rock Python. Average adult length 13 feet 4 meters. indivuals can grow to 6 meters. Often we see this species in crevices farmland, poultary farm and in the forest.

Lycodon Aulicus - Common Indian Wolf Snake

Common Indian Wolf Snake  Lycodon is derived from two Greek words Lykos means - Wolf and Odon meaning tooth. Mainly nocturnal. Good climbers. Rescue and released.  Jan 2021 first Rescue.  Common Indian Wolf Snake - Lycodon Aulicus  Type:- Non venomous I was fortunate to see this species during this time of the year, not very active due to winter season. To see the snakes in Mount Abu the best time summer to end of monsoon season. There are 18 species of snakes found in Mount Abu.
